About This Member Club

Club Overview
Location: Meridian, Idaho
Founded: 1988 (Facebook Group: May 2018)
Website: idaho4x4.com
Membership and Participation
The club meets at 7 PM on the second Thursday of each month at Idaho Pizza Company in Meridian. The public Facebook group serves as an open hub for off-road conversation across Idaho, while the main club membership is managed through the website. The club’s mission is to encourage interest in short-wheelbase 4WD vehicles and promote the exchange of ideas and technical knowledge among owners.
Activities and Events
Monthly trail rides and outdoor events span the state of Idaho and occasionally reach beyond its borders. The club references major events like Easter Jeep Safari (EJS) and the Rubicon Trail, giving members exposure to national-level off-road culture. Tread Lightly principles guide all runs to help preserve trail access for future generations.
Community Culture
A family-oriented, long-running club with a strong sense of stewardship for Idaho’s public lands. Rules explicitly call out Jeep model discussion (CJ / YJ / TJ / JK) and encourage cross-club participation — a welcoming attitude that has helped build a 6,400+ member community.
Idaho’s most established short-wheelbase club — 35+ years of trail runs and still going strong.
