Idaho Off-road 4×4 Club

Idaho Off-road 4×4 Club is the public Facebook community of Idaho Off-Road, a Meridian-based Jeep and short-wheelbase 4WD club founded in 1988 and dedicated to keeping Idaho’s public lands open for responsible off-road recreation.

The club’s mission is to encourage interest in short-wheelbase 4WD vehicles and promote the exchange of ideas and technical knowledge among owners.

Activities and Events

Monthly trail rides and outdoor events span the state of Idaho and occasionally reach beyond its borders. The club references major events like Easter Jeep Safari (EJS) and the Rubicon Trail, giving members exposure to national-level off-road culture. Tread Lightly principles guide all runs to help preserve trail access for future generations.

Community Culture

A family-oriented, long-running club with a strong sense of stewardship for Idaho’s public lands. Rules explicitly call out Jeep model discussion (CJ / YJ / TJ / JK) and encourage cross-club participation — a welcoming attitude that has helped build a 6,400+ member community.
