About This Member Club
The San Diego Jeep Club (SDJC) is an off-road community founded in September 2013, focused on educating Jeep owners in safe, responsible trail use. The club strongly promotes “Tread Lightly” principles and stands out for having no membership dues, making it highly accessible to new and experienced Jeepers alike.
Membership and Participation
SDJC uses a simple but structured process to ensure safety and engagement.
Joining the Community:
- Join via Facebook group
- Answer screening questions
- Attend events to participate
Vehicle Requirements:
- Must own a 4WD Jeep in good working condition
Communication Requirements:
- GMRS or HAM radio required
- Common channels:
- GMRS Channel 16
- HAM 146.415
Safety Requirements:
- Vehicle Self-Inspection form required before runs
- Signed liability waiver required
Passenger Guidelines:
- Minimum age: 2 years old
- Must be able to support/control their head
Conduct Rules:
- Zero tolerance for alcohol or drug use on trails
- Positive, respectful attitude required

GenRight 4×4 Night:
- Third Thursday of each month
- Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Trail Runs:
- Regular off-road trips ranging from beginner to advanced
- Includes iconic trails like the Rubicon
